Which club is the most storied in terms of European success?
It’s what talkSPORT.com wanted to know, so we looked at teams that have won the most UEFA club competitions.
They vary in prestige, with the Super Cup a notch down from the Europa League, which in turn cannot match the glory of winning the Champions League.
Nonetheless, we have tallied up club successes and ranked teams in order, based first on the total number of trophies they have won, then separating them further if necessary by the prestige of the tournaments won.
Included are the Champions League/European Cup, Europa League/UEFA Cup (but not Fairs Cup, which wasn’t a UEFA competition), and three defunct competitions: the Cup Winners’ Cup, the UEFA-endorsed Intercontinental Cup and last, and definitely least, the Intertoto Cup.
