Dad claims he spotted ‘ghost’ on baby’s monitor screen

A dad claims to have spotted a ghost when watching his 13-month-old daughter’s baby monitor.

Stephen Armstrong said he ‘just froze’ after he noticed a ‘creepy white light’ hovering above daughter Ella’s cot.

The 31-year-old claims it isn’t the first time he has noticed something suspicious in the baby’s bedroom, after previously finding a doll he had never seen before.

Mr Armstrong said he had just climbed into bed himself when he went to check the monitor and spotted the glowing light.

‘I just froze and I didn’t move. I don’t usually believe in spirits or stuff like that, but this was creepy,’ he said.

He said he was freaked out because the ‘sighting’ came just a few months after the incident involving the doll ‘mysteriously appearing’ in Ella’s cot in Blyth, Northumberland.

‘I kind of brushed that doll one off, and said there had to be something else – some other explanation,’ the dad said.

‘But when I saw the baby monitor, I went white and I even had to pluck up the courage to go in the room.

‘When I did, it had vanished.’

The bizarre monitor appearance is said to have taken place on Saturday night.

Sammy Rawlinson, a medium and paranormal investigator based in the North East, told Chronicle Live she believes the light Mr Armstrong saw could have been ‘someone visiting the child from the other side’.

‘They want to check if it’s anyone in spirits’ birthday or anniversary this month and this can include pets that have passed,’ she said.
