Manchester United are keeping tabs on the availability of Arsenal midfielder Mesut Ozil ahead of a possible January transfer, according to the Sunday Express.
The former German international scored in the Gunners’ 2-1 victory over Newcastle United on Saturday but his situation isn’t all rosy.
The playmaker underperformed last year and has continued this form into the new campaign, even after penning a new £350,000-a-week deal at the start of 2018.
New manager Unai Emery wants to see improvements from the 29-year-old but he could potentially offload him in the next transfer window.
Man United boss has long been monitoring Ozil and remains interested in signing the player he managed at Real Madrid.
And a perfect storm could see a move happen in the New Year, especially as Emery demands more from the player.

“I want not only for him to assist we need him to go in the box and score like today.
“I will work with every player and continue our process to create the team as we want.”
