Two men have been arrested on suspicion of murder after a woman was found dead in a flat in Bedfordshire.

Firefighters were called to the property on Plewes Close, in the village of Kensworth, after 12.30pm on Friday, following reports of an alarm sounding inside. A woman’s body was discovered in the flat.

An investigation was then launched by the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Major Crime Unit, with house-to-house enquiries taking place in the area.

The death is currently being treated as unexplained, Bedfordshire police said. Two men, aged 31 and 30, were arrested on suspicion of murder and remain in custody.
