Brazil Legend Ronaldo Discharged From Ibiza Hospital After Heavy Flu
Former Brazil and Real Madrid striker Ronaldo has been discharged from an Ibiza hospital on Tuesday after suffering “heavy flu” while on holiday.
The former Inter and Milan striker, who was rushed to the hospital on Friday while on vacation in Ibiza after reportedly suffering from pneumonia, was also moved to the intensive care unit of the private clinic.
He has however left the clinic after a four-night stay for treatment of the flu infection.
“He left this morning at 10:30am, not wanting to depart from the side where the press were waiting,” said a spokesman for the clinic in the centre of Ibiza.
A spokesman for the former player also confirmed his departure in an email message.
The 41-year-old, who was named FIFA’s world player of the year three times prior to his retirement from football in 2011, also confirmed this as he thanked fans on social media.
