Arsenal Fan TV has been forced to ‘rebrand’ itself after the football club held talks with the controversial YouTube channel.
According to the Sun, a breach of copyright on the word ‘Arsenal’ for audio and visual recordings was having a negative impact on the club.
It is understood Arsenal did not send a cease and desist letter but that discussions were held between the club and the channel.
Arsenal Fan TV has been rebranded as @AFTVMedia on Twitter and Instagram, with the previous handle of @ArsenalFanTV tweeting the news.
The channel was set up in October 2012. It is described as the “No1 fan channel on YouTube” and was “set up by Arsenal fans for Arsenal fans”.
It has just over 820,000 subscribers with a total number of views currently over 487,500,000 across its 9,129 uploaded videos.
